Q: What are your investment criteria?

A: We like companies based in the South, primarily within the information technology, communications or health care industries.

Q: How much money does your firm invest in a company?

A: Investments range from $500,000 to $2,000,000, initially. Because early stage companies typically require more than one round of financing, our overall investments average $4,000,000 to $6,000,000 million.

Q: What types of investments do you make? Do you make loans?

A: Massey Burch makes investments in the form of private equity and subordinated debt with equity. We do not make loans.

Q: Do you have a business stage preference?

A: Massey Burch primarily seeks start-up and early stage companies, possibly later stage. We predict our holdings to be 80% early/start-up and 20% later.

Q: List deals you will not consider.

A: Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Environmental, Entertainment, Retail Chains and Pharmaceutical Companies.

Q: If my business falls within your guidelines, how do I submit a plan?
